Microsoft Intune August 2025 Update

In this post, you will get to know the new feature list of Intune service release 2508 aka Intune August 2025 update. Microsoft Intune receives monthly service updates, and you can view the details of each release through the Intune Tenant Administration portal.

Intune uses the ‘YYMM’ format to identify service releases. For example, if you see “Service Release 2508,” it refers to the August 2025 update. Each month, new features and improvements are added to Intune and gradually rolled out to all tenants.

The newly added features and improvements as part of Intune August 2025 updates are categorised in App management, Device configuration, Device enrollment, Device management, Device Security, Monitor and troubleshoot.

Each monthly update can take up to three days to roll out and is in the following order:

  • Day 1: Asia Pacific (APAC)
  • Day 2: Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA)
  • Day 3: North America
  • Day 4+: Intune for Government

Microsoft Intune August 2025 Update

The Intune August 2025 release includes the following new features and improvements:

  • Offline Mode and App access without sign in for Android Enterprise Dedicated Devices on Managed Home Screen
  • Android app configuration policies support new variable values
  • Managed Installer support for user and device groups
  • Wipe remote action supports multiple administrative approval (MAA)
  • Multi-administrator approval support for role-based access control
  • Configure Windows Backup for Organizations (public preview)
  • New resolution button improves compliance remediation experience
